My work is primarily about painting, and while that is still the case with these ones, the've also got a narrative quality to them. I made these pieces based on the work that I created while I was in Iceland. Travelling really changed the way I paint because I was limited to specific art supplies and forms of mark making. The trip expanded my painting repertoire by limiting what I could do. I brought my new found techniques home with me, and created a body of work based on the people and places that I saw, and on the marks that I made. This exhibition focuses on exploration, and the things that we search for when we travel.
