The idea that clothing and textiles remind us of specific people, memories, and spaces informs most of my work.

My artworks are representations of moments in time; by using textiles that have a familiarity about them I hope to provoke feelings of nostalgia and remembrance in the viewer. I am interested in the tactile qualities that are generated through the combination of fabric and paint. Textiles add another dimension to the layers of a painting that I cannot achieve simply through mark making, colours, lines and layers. While I'm working I select a colour scheme based on the fabric I have chosen and paint intuitively, balancing controlled and more accidental movements. I work primarily with acrylic paint, ink and found materials.

She received her BFA in painting and art history from the University of British Columbia Okanagan in 2015, and spent time studying fine arts at the University of California, Los Angeles. Her current works are narrative in nature, focusing on the documentation of people and moments using non-traditional materials.
